This is not a new remote. Yes I can turn the Bose on and off with this remote. No this unit does not have a push button volume controls on the unit itself. Radio turns on Cd player also..Only the up volume does not work.. The up volume only goes to 9. it will go down to 0 and then when it is turned off and back on the volume goes back to 9 . OK.
