Is there a 2 year warrantee on the tx-nr609?

I am suspicious that this occurred just 1 month outside the 2 year warrantee; the same fault and time-period reported by many others (mainly in USA forums). This seems to be a fundamental flaw in the TX-NR609 design. I have reported the fault to Onkyo but to date have had no joy.

Where can I get my tx-nr616 repaired?

Ive sent it in for repair at richer sounds and they’ve loaned me a tx-nr616 until mine is repaired. Thumbs up to richer sounds so far. Well, fingers crossed for you!

The TX8050 and the TX-NR818 both saw lengthy use each day. At least six hours and nary a hitch. Agreed, they sell huge numbers so a couple of hundred or however many more or less it is distorts the picture. People will talk up more when they have a complaint.

Why is my Onkyo tx-nr609 suddenly no sound?

The loaned tx-nr616 has now started to become intermittent on start up for dislaying images to the tv. Looks like the hdmi board is starting to fail on this one now. Spoke to richer sounds and they will give me another loan machine. Still no parts available for the tx-nr609
