How old should an amp be for a Denon AVR?

Can any of you recommend a good amp that’s maybe a couple of years old, funds are a bit low (new house and baby on the way) so ideally could do with buying 2nd hand. Somebody also mentioned using an amp connected to Zone 2 could be an option.

Why does Denon AVR not share power supply?

No longer sharing power supply with rest of AV receiver, thus no longer compromising the performance of the front two channels. Isolation from the rest of the AV receiver, thus preventing interference, be it air born radio frequency interference or electrical from shared power supply.

Can a Denon pre-out be used as an integrated amp?

Yes, you could use the zone 2 pre-out into an integrated amp and use the Denon AVR as a source (eg for digital music). You would have to try it and see how it sounds, as the pre-amp of the Denon would still have an effect. Generally you would connect your music sources directly to the integrated amp to get the best possible sound quality.

Are there any issues with Denon AVR x3700h?

Sound united are using the dreaded Panasonic HDMI chip set that has a flaw affecting pretty much anything 8K rated. So if you had a good deal just assume you bought a 2K receiver. As I understand it as far as receivers go all Yamaha, and Denon/Marantz receivers coming to market now have this problem and a lot of other devices also.

What kind of sound does Denon AVR 2112ci have?

The Denon AVR-2112CI is first of the IN-Command Series. This series includes Dolby Pro Logic IIz, Audyssey DSX, Dynamic EQ, MultEQ XT and lots of user flexibility. Most receivers have a standard look. This makes blending with other equipment easy. The Denon AVR-2112CI sports a clean, minimalistic look.
