Is the sound bar connected to the subwoofer?

The sound bar clearly outputs but the Subwoofer is pathetically quiet. It is connected as I can faintly hear sound when I place my ear to the front of it. Its green LED in on. I have it connected to my LG OLED55BAT-T via Audio Out (Optical/HDMI ARC)
