Are surround sound speakers supposed to be quiet?

But in general, the rears are quiet but at certain moments they can match the volume of the front speakers. Very quiet isn’t a term I’d use to describe them, no. The transition from front-to-rear sounds and rear-to-front should feel “natural”, not out of place.

How can I make my surround sound speakers sound better?

Consider moving speakers to the side walls, ideally above ear level by about two feet. Doing so will increase the depth of the sound, and make the ears and mind feel they are truly “surrounded.” For bigger rooms with a 7.1-channel setup, you can always get another pair of speakers for the rear wall.

How does mcacc work on Pioneer Home Theater?

If playback doesn’t begin shortly, try restarting your device.

What does the microphone do on a mcacc?

Are there any 5.1 surround sound speakers that work?

I have a pioneer sx-315 surround sound receiver, and I have a 5.1 speaker setup. When I do a test play on the speakers, sound goes through all of them, but when actually using the speakers the rear ones won’t work.

What should the crossover frequency of a speaker be?

Mid-size center, surround, bookshelf: 80-100 Hz. Large center, surround and bookshelf: 60-80 Hz. Very large center, surround, bookshelf: 40-60 Hz. Tower speakers with 4”-6” woofers: 60 Hz.

Why does pioneer mcacc have a symmetrical sound stage?

The reason for this is that the other two settings, for symmetry and front focus, they both configure a symmetrical sound stage: meaning that the equalisers on the left speakers are the same as those on the right. This might sound sensible, however, your listening space may not respond symmetrically to the speakers!
