What should I do if my sound is not working on my computer?

If those options didn’t work, try using the generic audio driver that comes with Windows. In the search box on the taskbar, type device manager, then select it from the results. Select the arrow next to Sound, video and game controllers to expand it.

Why does the sound keep cutting out on my TV?

It seems to happen whether watching Prime, PBS, Youtube etc. it happens some with just tv over the air but not as much. It just comes and goes…turn it off and back on and it works fine. Sometimes It goes off again in just minutes, other times it’s hours or days. Very frustrating.

What do I do if my sound is disabled by mistake?

Check your device properties to make sure that your devices have not been disabled by mistake. Select Start > Settings > System > Sound . Select your audio device, and then select Device properties. Be sure to select Device properties for both the output and input devices. Make sure the Disable check box is cleared for the output and input devices.

Why is the sound not working on my TV?

If the TV speaker does not work no matter what you try, do an experiment and connect an external speaker to the TV to see if sound will be heard. If not you may have a circuit board issue or possibly the speakers in the TV have a wiring issue. Try everything first before taking the TV apart to check the speakers.

Why is the radio on but no sound through speakers?

A few days ago, I crossed some rough railroad tracks, and the sound cut out from my radio. I was listening to a cd at the time, so I tried the radio tuner, but that produced no sound through the speakers either. The radio still had power, and it still tuned in stations according to the display.

Why does my sound come back on after I turn off Netflix?

When using the local apps (netflix, hulu, etc) the sound will drop out intermittently and will not return until I cycle power off/on on the tv. Sometimes it will take several hours to drop out, other times only a few minutes, but in either event it does not come back on without cycling power off/on.

What can I do about my audio cut off?

The earc is connected to my new denon x3500h AVR. I would have to turn off the Denon which automatically gets the sound back on the x950g speakers, then turn back on the Denon to restore the sound thru hometheater speakers. I have tried various cables, including a HDMI 2.1 specfic cable and monoprice certified premium hdmi cable.
