What to do if there is no sound from an Active Subwoofer?

Follow this procedure to troubleshoot if there is no sound coming from an active subwoofer connected to the television. Ensure the subwoofer is connected to the MIX or SUB output on the stereo system or TV. Ensure the power cord of the subwoofer is connected to a working AC outlet. Turn on the subwoofer. Ensure the subwoofer has not been muted.

Why do I not get thumping sound from my subwoofer?

If you do not hear a thumping sound then there is a possible service issue with the subwoofer. Connect the other end of the subwoofer cable to the subwoofer audio output connector on the back of the receiver. NOTE: Some receiver models may have two outputs to drive two subwoofers.

How can I tell if my Sony subwoofer is still on?
