When did the NAD 7020 stereo receiver come out?

By Matthew Sanders

When did the NAD 7020 stereo receiver come out?

It’s been in use since 1988 and not a thing has gone wrong. Output is remarkable for a stated 20 watts (into 8 ohms) and the sound has the typical NAD sweet, warm richness that everyone talks about. It outdoes a 10-year-old Cambridge Audio Azur 540R V3 AV receiver we use with the TV.

Which is better NAD 7020 or NAD 3020?

It sound a bit better to me than the 3020 did coz the 7020 sounded a bit more vivant and detailed. The 7020/3020 would be my every-green go-to HiFi hardware for any type of music to listen to. BTW, its FM section drifts quite a bit. Best would be to use the tuner after about 1 hr of warm-up. Then it will behave quite stably.

Which is the last of the line digital tuners?

This is the last of the line, with digital tuning that stays on-station with no trouble. It’s been in use since 1988 and not a thing has gone wrong. Output is remarkable for a stated 20 watts (into 8 ohms) and the sound has the typical NAD sweet, warm richness that everyone talks about.

Is the NAD 3020 a receiver or integrated amplifier?

The NAD 3020 is an integrated amplifier, not a receiver. The receiver is the 7020. Having owned several of each over the years I can say that there is NOTHING out there for the same price that even comes close to these guys for sheer musical enjoyment.

Which is the best NAD 7020 digital receiver?

If you don’t want to go the route of separates and get the NAD 3020 amp and a separate tuner, then the 7020 receiver is a great no-frills choice. The later 7020e (1988), which is all digital, is also a good choice.

Which is better the 7020 or the 3020?
